I think Mark Twain was jealous of Jane Austen's success. Even though he was famous too, I think he realized that she was the better writer.

That hurricane is huge and slow moving over those warm waters. If it hits Jamaica it will be devastating.

Yeah, that whole Fergie and Andrew thing is such a stain on the crown.

My opinion is the corgis should be in charge and not the people. They would be smart enough to reopen the government. Then, everything would work out fine. Corgis would be fair and make the right decisions.

Love the idea of seeing growing calves and little donkeys on your route. Autumn is a time of change, but it is gradual some years. I try and take it one day at a time. Yesterday was a difficult one.

I would rather be kind, but when I was younger being right seemed more important at times. I don't think it is more important than other people's feelings now. If I ever thought that I was wrong.

I want to be kind and forgiving and I realize that compared to my mother, I am not smart at all. Time is a great teacher.

Life Being Hard

Prompt: Joy asked us what makes life hard.

In school, life was hard studying subjects. Dating. Wanting to be an adult.

After High School. Going to college. Finding a job, getting married and having children. The daily grinds of life. Illness.

Humans can only do so much. You pray for God's help. You do what you can to have a good life. Balancing problems, getting what you want in life, pleasing others and surviving things. We aren't superheroes. Life is going to be difficult. We just do our best. Pray and find your balance.

Courage

Courage. I worked in mental health and I had to have courage to deal with my job. Being brave. I got through a house fire. I think of the cowardly lion and he had to find courage to face the wicked witch. He was a sweet lion that just needed friends.

We need courage to get through life's situations. We don't know what we will face. We go foward and pray as we find courage to endure the bad things in life. Courage. We find in when we least expect it.

Christmas and Santa Claus

Christmas. Santa Claus. I love Christmas. I hated giving up Santa. He was the best part of Christmas as a kid. We do love the decorations. Jesus's Birthday. Christmas is something we look forward to. I am thankful for Christmas. I went to Santa Claus Land, Indiana and it is all about Santa. It seemed so real. I love the fantasy of Santa, reindeer, elves and gifts. The North Pole. Santa is great. I never forget Jesus is the reason for the season. Santa is a fun bonus. Christmas will always live in my heart.

Hurricanes

Hurricanes. I don't live in a hurricane area. I have seen videos and pictures of clouds of how they look before hurricanes hit. My sister lives in Florida and she said they just deal with them. I couldn't handle it. It was sad when the hurricanes hit New Orleans and Galveston. It is sad when ever hurricanes strike. I just pray for everyone. We had 3 inches of rain the other day. That was enough.

I guess Hurricane Season isn't over but I hope things will be alright for everyone. I live in a tornado state but we have been lucky. I pray for the world.

My Week

I was back at the ER.i had a bowel obstruction 3 weeks ago and a gtube took care of it. Today. Digestive issues. I got another CT Scan. No bowel obstruction. No issues. Just IBS. Blood test results are fine. I hope to feel better and enjoy life again.

Hope your week went well.

My cousin is coming over next week.

We got 3 inches of rain. We needed it.

I watched Dr. David Jeremiah.

I called my son. He lives in Oregon. We discussed a few things.

I hope to do a few things and let God take care of things and not be anxious about things.

Sometimes, our thoughts and reflections are pur best companions. We try to find good things in life and happiness. Our minds can take us anywhere especially if we are writers. Writers live in their own world. Jane Austen expressed herself through her characters. She made her characters come to life. We write characters in a good light and make them our friends. Our thoughts and reflections can make them our best companions. Jane is right on this. We do love Jane. I can relate.

Enchantment. Going to a lake. Read a book. Looking at a book of English houses. Seeing teapots. Reading a Jane Austen novel. Reading a fantasy story. Writing fantasy stories. Reading fairytale. Enchantment. Picking out jewelry to wear. Enchantment. A romance. Thinking about being royal. Looking at houses you admire. Watching TV Shows like Downton Abbey. Enchantment. Beatrice Potter stories. Your childhood toys. There are ways to be enchanted. A rain storm. Being with a pet. Christmas. Shopping. We are surprised at where we can find enchantment. Looking at a gnome in your yard. Lawn ornament. A deer. Horses and donkeys. The zoo. Woods. Did I leave anything out? I wish there were castles near by. I do like enchantment

Heart Like An Ocean

Prompt: In what ways is your heart like an ocean?

A ocean is huge and has a lot of aquatic life. Ships that went down. There are secrets there. Like Rose on Titanic. A woman's heart is an ocean full of secrets.

We have memories, hopes and dreams. Our hearts are bigger then we think. Some good reflections and some bad memories. Some we want to forget. Some, we treasure always. Some memories we forget and are happy when we rediscover them. Stories live in our hearts. We have a lot of stories. Our secrets are in the stores. Hearts. Ocean. Memories. Would we want it any other way?

Rain

We got rain today. We haven't had rain in 10 days. The crops have been looking shabby. The farmers ate doing mint and potatoes

I cleaned the kitchen. I did laundry.

I watched Gidget this weekend.

Nothing exciting. Just the rain. It is a big deal.

Jane Austen and Apple Pie

I love Jane Austen and I am like a Jane Austen Historian. I read she loved apple pie. Okay. Me. I love chocolate cake. I know apple pie is a favorite with a lot of people. Some people love cheese on apple pie.

Apples are popular in fall. Apple pie. Apple cider. If you love apples, apple anything will work. I applaud Jane for her taste. Jane Austen and apple pie. Apples do smell good in the fall. A baked apple pie smells good. I will smell apples and eat chocolate.
